Listen Tina, just because you turned your diary into a collection of erotic friend-fiction doesn't mean we all do that.

A diary isn't a chatbot you have a conversation with. Your therapist isn't your diary. If you start telling them about your plans to commit violence against other people, they have to report you.

She didn't want a diary, she wanted a sycophantic robot to agree with her. If she wanted a diary, she'd have used a diary, or a word document, not something that responds.

To be clear, I'm against LLMs like this. I think they're dangerous, and should not be private, and absolutely should be monitored for shit like this. No one needs to be using this shit like this, and they've been causing psychosis.

Edit to add: She wasn't expressing thoughts, she said she was going to go shoot them up, and also said she'd gotten a new gun. That ain't a diary, that's telling a robot your plans for violence.

A textbook definition does not always reflect reality.

If you tell the court it was your diary, you can bet your ass that the prosecutor will use the textbook definition against you. It will be your job to convince the jury otherwise at that point.

Okay, let's see how they handle it in court then instead of a Reddit comment section.

That doesn't make it wrong, just maybe out of context.

What’s the point of keeping intentionally inaccurate records?

So your inaccurate “food diary” was just meant to be a fantasy about eating less and losing weight? It’s not like I can stop you, but most people use those to actually keep track of what they eat.
