Oh my engineer turned Engineering manager who is a childless, unmarried (can’t find one) micromanager thinks we can come up solutions with AI in a few minutes and build solutions easily but problem is these complex systems that we build are used by millions of users and have real world impact.

We screwed up a feature recently because of his pressure (timeline he set without consulting) and we had to roll back the changes and it was pain in the ass for us and users were impacted.

He currently is doing that to another project and we have already uncovered some cross dependencies which make it unsuitable and for sure will fail if we don’t fix the fundamental architecture.

So managers need to tone down a bit and not be short sighted just because AI can do errything!

Perhaps replacing short sighted micromanagers would be a good start.

This person could be married and have six kids and still be this kind of micromanager.

Could be but bro got no chill or life.

Always in office and expecting everyone to be workaholic like him when we are 3 days RTO.

Guess what other asskissers do, show up 5 days a week. (I am the bad guy because I got familial commitments and like to be a present father to my kids)
