Nah it's not fine, cuz single player users get completely neglected for the next 15 years while GTA Online gets nonstop updates.

This.

I was bummed out that GTA V never got single player DLCs like IV did with Lost and Damned & Ballad of Gay Tony.

I used to think the same thing, but I think I actually ended up enjoying the story of gta online a bit more than the single player, and really liked collecting cars and running businesses, did this all on private servers like 2 years ago, long after online came out too. I didn’t spend a penny either, shark cards are almost stupidly expensive and reserved for people who don’t even wanna actually play the game.

You enjoyed grinding missions over and over again to be able to even afford the things to unlock the additional missions?

No game or story has been made better by turning into a live service.

I did enjoy it! I don’t really have the time to waste on it nowadays as it is tedious, but back a few years ago when I was playing it, it was really fun jumping on a private server with my buddy and grinding heists and missions while chatting, there’s almost a tycoon game aspect to it.

You can very easily play GTAO as a single player experience and get 100+ hours out of it without interacting with another human

Single players of GTA V didn't get "neglected" they got the game they paid for.

Just because they canned DLC doesn't mean that online stole something from you that you were entitled to. God you people are such whiny pricks.

> “GTAV Story Mode Updates. For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.”

Anyone who bought the game after they were publicly claiming they were adding story mode DLC actually is entitled to it. It’s literally false advertising.

If the DLC was going to be free and they canceled it you didn't lose anything and you weren't entitled to it.

If the DLC was going to be paid and they canceled it you didn't pay for it, you didn't lose anything, you weren't entitled to it.

Shrimple as. Stay mad.

Oh well, of course -- if it was false advertisement! You're actually legally entitled to it! You should get a lawyer!

That or maybe your understanding of advertising laws isn't as comprehensive as you might believe so you'll just continue to impotently scream into the wind about video game "promises" that were made to you 12 years ago.

Edit: Downvote me all you want hypocrites we all know your unshakable belief that you were falsely advertised to and failed to recieve something you were fully entitled to will stand strong in the face of the release of GTA VI. Surely a company that FaLsElY AdVeRtIsEs ConTeNt is unworthy of your continued support and you'll be voting with your wallets. Ecks. Dee.

Rockstar doesn't need me to defend it and I don't care to -- I'm defending reality. You purchase a product and you're entitled to the product. When that comes to games that's whatever content is advertised as being part of the sticker price that you are paying.

Saying: "we have plans to do story DLC" isn't a binding agreement to give you story DLC and you aren't entitled to it. Previous GTA DLC has been sold as standalone content and then later baked into "complete editions" so if they had released V story DLC it probably would have been a separate product and it would have its own sticker price. You would be entitled to it after you paid that.

You weren't entitled to DLC, you weren't entitled to extra story content. You were entitled to what you paid for and you got it and you liked it or you didn't.

IDK what was your mom's favorite color lead paint chip to eat while pregnant?

You're getting close to 100 hours of content. Deal with it.
