Artificial Intelligence The terrifying rise of schoolboys making AI girlfriends. Boys as young as 12 are now in romantic ‘relationships’ with chatbots, and it’s affecting how they treat girls in the real world.

Oh my god. That might be the most horrifying sub I have ever seen. That reduces my hope for this world tenfold

From young people trying to get into the marketplace to this…we are cooked

It's like a cult, those people need therapy.

Seems like it’s not super active and a lot of posts look like ads, so I don’t think it’s that bad.

Edit: 4 posts in 24 hours, 2 are ads, and all four barely have any comments. Sure the stuff that’s there is sad but it’s an extremely niche subreddit.

I’m not here to shame you. Look at some of the posts by the women there and actually read them. It genuinely makes me sad

His point still stands. Maybe there is an epidemic of girls with AI psychosis, I don't know, but taking a niche sub with a hundred active posters as evidence ain't it.

It's like those shitty "news" articles about Twitter posts. You found a pod of insane persons, congratulations who cares.

Geeze, I caught a lot of downvotes for some reason.

The subreddit barely loads for me, but when I was able to see it there were four posts in the post 24 hours, two of which are ads, all of which barely have any comments.

It's Reddit. These idiots will latch on to anything anti AI

I’m not even being pro-AI, these sites that have ads on that subreddit are scum of the earth scammers exploiting vulnerable people. But it’s not a sign that humanity is cooked.

wtf do you mean not here to shame me? Do y’all downvoting me lack literacy skills to the point you think I’m on that subreddit? I just pointed out that there’s not a lot of activity on there. Four posts in 24 hours, two are ads, and all of them have barely any comments.

Do people who are legit in love with an AI chat bot need psychiatric help? Yes, obviously.

Is a subreddit with two active posts and barely any active comments a sign of humanity slipping into robot loving induced apocalypse? No, obviously.

There have always been people with emotional issues, in the past it would have just been something else.
