Am from Russia. The government is trying to cover up the story and denies the existence of a lab worker who accidentally got infected and died. Which means they did get infected and did die. Also it’s probably way worse. Let’s not forget Soviets did everything they could to cover up Chernobyl.

If they start playing Swan Lake or Tchaikovsky of any kind on state media do report back.

The best we can offer is a guy reading numbers over a random shortwave station.

denies the existence of a lab worker who accidentally got infected and died.

Where did you get that idea?

From the article

One person – a laboratory worker – is said to have died in the incident after being diagnosed with a pneumonia of “unknown” origin.

“The sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Irkutsk region, the cities of Irkutsk and Shelekhov is stable,” Rospotrebnadzor said.

Special measures had been carried out “in connection with the case of an employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute,” Rospotrebnadzor said, adding that the employee had been diagnosed with “pneumonia of unknown etiology,” or cause.
