So ... Whenever Trump is president, a plague spreads around the world.

How are evangelicals not picking up on this pattern?

They want the world to end, they want the apocalypse. Many voted for trump believing he will be their 'savoir' by being the one who brings about the destruction of us all so they can float up into the sky and say "I told you so."

So ... evangelicals think that Trump is the Antichrist?

No joke there are so many coincidences in the Bible describing the antichrist that fit Trump. Its honestly scary there's an article about it. They even had to update after the Trump assassination attempt because the Bible closely predicted it

It's largely agreed that Nero is the person the gospel writers had in mind. They were terrified that Nero hadn't actually died and would come after them.

There are two apocalypses written of, though...

Just like there are two stories of Adam and Eve, two stories of Noah's flood, etc.

It's true, but you have to remember that (granted, according to the Bible) almost EVERYONE will WANT to follow the Antichrist, even people who deem themselves not to believe in God/gods won'tbe able to help how much they like the guy at the beginning...and Trump is not that guy.

And neither is he a messiah. It's a fallacious farce to think that anyone can be the epitome of good and be involved in politics.

Essentially... I dont know if they realize that or how they rationalize anything in their minds tho

Yes they do and they're SO excited about it

I swear, I have superstitious moments in which I wonder.

See, I never understood this train of thought with evangelicals wanting to RUSH the end times. Because if god has a plan and they decided to rush HIS plan, wouldn't that piss god off? Like they're telling him his timing isn't up to THEIR standards? Like if you squint a bit, it starts to look blasphemous. But what does my atheist ass know.

I don't think they think they're rushing it, they think of it as welcoming it. But, yikes. If you follow it in sequence, it's pretty dang scary.

I've see some gloat. Not very Christian in my book.

That's...factually incorrect. Sure, some Christians want the end to begin but a Messiah won't be from the earth... The Bible says the Messiah will come with the clouds. A true Christian knows this.

A second mysterious disease story with one victim isn’t a pattern. That doesn’t mean dismissing this or being concerned that the US is less equipped for a new disease than it was in 2020. This is also coming from a state known for strategic news releases of dubious reliability for their leadership’s own purposes. Jumping to any conclusions without getting more information is beyond foolish.

Well this one isn’t spreading.

...how can you know that?
