So I should buy stock in Ivermectin, or..?

I was in an Agri-store with my 80 year father this summer and I saw Ivermectin related products, so I told him Americans were taking that for COVID. He used to farm a little before he retired and was quite familiar with it for live stock, at first he didn't believe me but when I showed him some videos he laughed so hard he got light headed and the store owner made him sit down and brought him a glass of water. We were worried he might pass out he couldn't catch his breath laughing.

Funny thing is it sort of works, but the reason why isn’t because it does anything directly to the virus in the human body. The original study showed that ivermectin in vitro inhibited virus reproduction. No shit. The problem was that the concentration of ivermectin required to do that, was forty times the lethal human dose.

They decided, in my view intelligently and responsibly (it’s a crisis, why not try anything that’s reasonably harmless) to trial it at human tolerance levels, to see if it helped. It did help, but what the cookers miss is that it helped most in places like India, Indonesia, and African nations, where intestinal parasites are endemic.

Of course if you get rid of your parasites, you’re going to suffer less from Covid, recover faster, etc. You’ll also feel better, sleep better, run a shorter timed hundred metres, dance with more verve, be more productive at work, blah blah.

It was also effective in certain areas of the United States. We all know which areas. Those same areas that show higher percentages of alcoholism, other drug addictions, obesity, teenage pregnancy, shorter lifespans, bedsores, lower literacy, and voting Republican.

So the dumbfuck degenerate cooker Trumpletons did their experiments, noted the positive results, and came to the wrong conclusion.

A similar experiment was conducted with vaccines, and of course concluded that vaccination lowers the duration and severity of the infection (if not directly the likelihood, although having people around who carry it at lower severity for lower duration reduces infection likelihood). The cookers angrily rejected this experiment, preferring their own.

Has to be a dogwhistle when bro tries to describe majority black areas and throws in the “voting republican” at the end to cover it up.

You know as an Australian I automatically assumed he was talking about white trailer trash.

Those don’t actually apply to “white trailer trash” on a larger scale, just because they still tend to have more resources and opportunities. A general pattern for the states he’s describing is that they have a lathe underserved black population that brings all the numbers down:

  • Life expectancy of black vs white population has a five to ten year difference in most states
  • Teen birth rate is twice as high for black girls than white girls
  • Black adults are significantly more likely to be obese than white adults, especially black women compared to white women. It’s even more striking in kids — black kids are twice as likely to be obese as white kids
  • Black adults are more likely to die of overdose than white adults, though this doesn’t discriminate and indigenous Americans are actually most likely
  • Black Americans have a significantly lower literacy rate than white Americans, with 36% of black adults having low literacy skills, compared to only 12% of white Americans

Why is this the case?

Because white trailer trash vote Republican, because Republicans use racism to get their votes.

What’s wrong with voting 🗳️ Republican? Not all of them are as bad as Trump..some are respectable like Massie and MTG

Trump kicked them out of the party..that should tell you they weren’t part of MAGA

7

u/GeneralPatten 5h ago

What's wrong with voting Republican? The fact that even Massie and MTG voted with Trump 90% of the time is what's wrong. They only care about the Epstein files and wars of choice.

While those are important things, they could not care less about health care, a woman's right to autonomy, separation of church and State, due process for ALL peoples within our borders, the social safety net, environmental protections, education programs...

You want more reasons?

But Sharia Law and the Islamist takeover is perfectly okay?

8

u/GeneralPatten 4h ago

OMFG... LMAO! OMFG... For real? I've never come across a bigger straw man in my life! Where the fuck are you coming up with the delusion that the US is, in ANY way, threatened by an Islamist takeover and sharia law?!? Give me ONE example of said threat.

For what it's worth, I'm about as supportive of an Islamist takeover with Sharia Law as I am with a Christian takeover and Christian Law. Both can equally fuck off as far as I'm concerned. And, the fact is... a Christian takeover is an exponentially larger threat to freedom these days.

u/Tocwa 4h ago

Dearborn, Michigan.. (Google it)

You’re opposed to Christians! How are they an exponentially larger threat to freedom? Since I’m obviously ignorant to you, please Grace me with your wisdom and explain how Christians = an exponentially larger threat to freedom ⁉️

6

u/GeneralPatten 3h ago

Are you claiming Dearborn, MI is under Sharia Law? Simply because half of the population is Muslim?

Christians have an exponentially larger influence in US government, and US society in general. Particularly Evangelicals. They are a threat to our freedom and liberty. They are hateful, close minded, and seek to have everyone conform to their world view. Men like Pete Hegseth are a direct threat to American ideals, attempting to eliminate the lines of separation between religion and the US military.

Muslims make up just over 1% of the population in the United States. This isn't even a debate worth having.

2

u/placebotwo 2h ago

None of that is happening, meanwhile Christian Nationalism (which is Sharia Law) IS currently happening in the United States.

0

u/Tocwa 2h ago

How is Christian Nationalism Sharia Law? I’m willing to hear your perspective on this. Please enlighten me 😳

The things that aren't happening?

Ivermectin doesn’t do anything for COVID, but it’s a pretty common anti-parasite medication for humans. It’s just as willfully ignorant to say no human should be taking ivermectin as it is to say ivermectin cures COVID.

I know people who would go to the feed store for antibiotics because they couldn't afford a doctor visit. Instead of driving people to take medication they can easily harm themselves with, why not ensure all Americans have healthcare? We outspend every other wealthy nation on the planet on healthcare costs, but we're the only country in the top 40 without universal healthcare. Oh, and vaccinate your kids. Autism is hereditary.

Hydroxycloroquine is my jam

19

u/boris9983 7h ago

If dipshits take those two for another disease they don't work for, then at least the rest of us will have enough antibiotics to survive.

u/janosslyntsjowls 4h ago

Hey now not being able to get my prescription plaquenil/hydroxycloroquine for arthritis isn't cool either

2

u/Mr_E_Monkey 5h ago

I'm hopeful that my investment in suppository LEDs doesn't go to waste.

u/CantPullOutRightNow 6h ago

And anal bleach.

2

u/StevieMJH 5h ago

Is that safe to use with that one medication that causes fatal taint swelling?

2

u/StevieMJH 5h ago

Pillows, probably.

2

u/Infinite_stardust 5h ago

Just stick a lamp up your ass

u/XxIcEspiKExX 4h ago

And end up with a moth problem? Have you seen the cost of electricity these days?

I was just talking to my spouse about this. There’s a bunch of stuff that my brain covered up. I’m not sure if it qualifies as PTSD or traumatic but it’s wild how much I had already forgotten.

So many people died. Horrific and alone. Behind plastic and PPE while the Four Tops would play over grocery store speakers and we’d try to make hand signals with the cashiers because we were all learning how to mask properly. Local restaurants just trying to stay afloat with tents and string lights and limited menus.

Curbside and contactless. Cocktails to go.
Scrubbing hands after getting home and always only one of us at a time. Washing clothes constantly just because we went to Walmart. Sanitizer from breweries, toilet paper economies.

And healthcare workers just doing their best while fuck faces preached on podcasts. No noise from the street. Parades for children’s parties. My neighbors grandma couldn’t use an iPad but a nurse held one up to her bed and that’s how they said i love you and goodbye.

Makeshift morgues.

I’m not sure we learned much.

But we had dolphins in the water and some of the most beautiful shots of a smog-free cities. That was nice.

A little horse dewormer will surely fix it.
