Open [TOMT][MOVIE or TV SHOW][Late 90s-Early 00s]Movie or show about teen girl figuring out she's psychic.

I'll start by saying it's not That's so Raven, and I say this because when I was younger and that show first aired I clearly remember thinking that "oh my god this must be the spin off for what I saw before!". I have never found anything about this online other than stuff about That's so Raven or horror movies. so I'm trying here as my last resort, I've had some pretty great luck here.

What I can remember is a scene of a young black girl figuring out that she's psychic because of a vision of hers just came true and she is either talking about it with her mother or an aunt, whoever she is talking to seems to know that's what it is and they confirm to her she is in fact psychic. A short scene is all I saw, I don't remember the plot or the what the vision was but she was definitely a teenager, black, and she was discussing it with a family member that knew she was psychic before she could finish explaining it to them. I also think there might have been a third female character somewhere in the scene but it's pretty fuzzy on that detail. Was a live action and not a cartoon. Wasn't a crime or mystery, it was a sitcom/comedy type feel, that just happened to be a semi serious moment. Also pretty sure this was on a network like abc, cbs, nbc, etc and not a children's network like disney or nickelodeon.

This had to have been around 2000 or 2001, definitely a while before That's so Raven aired in 2003. Does anyone know what this was or has seen anything remotely like this? The only thing I have found online were articles confirming an unaired pilot of That's so Raven where she wasn't the main character, and they rewrote it to star her after test audiences really liked her. I doubt what I saw could have been that, but have no idea if that even aired on any television network back then or where they tested it to audiences.

Any suggestions or links of something that sounds familiar would be great, I have been driving myself crazy about this on and off for years.

Edit: I think it might have been a backdoor pilot on a sitcom, so whatever this show was it wasn't revolving the girl being psychic, just a one off plot for an episode. It can't be any show that released in 2002 onward.

Open [TOMT] Help me find a horror movie from when I was four NSFW

One of those random blip memories.

Maybe around 2000s, but not sure how old it was. Was four in 2004.

I remember that it's really dark, when there's a woman home alone (?) washing dishes in the sink. There was a noise or something that caught her attention in which she yells out "Hello?". Then I remember it jumps to 1st person POV, with the killer running up behind her and stabbing her. Back to third person POV, her hands flail up, as she is turned around and then thrown to the floor. The killer stabs her a few more times, before I think it fades? I vaguely remember that there was maybe police officers or files after the fading, talking about it, but that-s where my memory gets fuzzy.

I just distinctly remember the switch between POVs and everything after she speaks, but that's about all my kid brain remembered.

Solved [TOMT]Looking for the song that this riff is from, 70-90s pop rock

https://voca.ro/1flJrRorFBUP

Was messing around on my guitar and found this little sliding riff that I'm sure I've heard before. Think it's from a bridge or maybe intro to a poppy rock song probably 70s or 80s. Def not exact tone and could even be on keyboard in the original song. Pardon my shitty guitar playing.

Open [TOMT] Help me find a tv show I saw at a bar while I was drunk

I had gone out with some friends to a bar in Savannah GA. At some point I ended up absolutely locked in on a show they were playing on one of the TVs, but I never got the name of it!! From what I remember, it was a 2D animated scene of a guy with a reddish color palette in what looked like hell? or a cave? He had spiky black hair iirc, kinda similar to the shape of Johnny Test. Then it cut to a scene in a different place - a lab or something? But the animation swapped to 3D - based on the 3D animation, I think it was early-mid 2000s. There was a different guy with glasses in this scene, talking to a girl with short brown hair. I think she was flirting with him and he was being your average shy dork character. They’d also just gotten back from a motorcycle ride along the side of a mountain I think?

EDIT: if it helps, the main guy that was “in hell” was definitely mostly red coded, I think he was in a jumpsuit of some kind? The guy with the glasses was in like a blue vest and a white tshirt

Solved [TOMT]Song by white band that uses n word in first couple lines

This is a long shot since I don’t fully remember how it goes, or genre, or era, or really much.
Basically there’s a song by some band, maybe late 2000s but not entirely sure, where the first couple of lines it uses the n word casually and it got kinda popular on tiktok for using it since they’re all white.
Closest comparison is it reminded me of that handsome devil a bit but that’s all I got

Solved [TOMT][SONG][1990s-2000s] Sad pop love song by a female singer with a very high-pitched chorus

Chorus Details:

Lyrics at the beginning: The chorus starts right away with the words "I can't...’’

Melody / Vocals: Immediately after "I can't...", it transitions into a very high-pitched, emotional, and powerful melody.

Style: It has a strong, driving sense of speed and emotional pull in the vocals, but it is strictly a sad pop ballad, NOT rock music.

Era: It's a sad love song by a female artist from around the late 1990s to the 2000s

Open [TOMT] [GRAPHIC NOVEL] [2000s] Western full-color graphic novel series (Amulet/Bone style but more mature) about an undead/zombie former guitarist

• Upvotes

I'm trying to find a graphic novel series I read between 2006 and 2012 at a school in Canada (Ontario), either from the library or a Scholastic book fair. It was English, Western, full color, and multi-volume, in the same format as Amulet or Bone, but the art was more mature/: anime-influenced (it is the most similar example I have at hand.)

  • The world is post-apocalyptic but rebuilding. Zombies exist, but they stay outside human civilization and aren't a major threat (this is a lil rough in my memories but I believe they have their own onclaves)
  • The hero is a former guitarist (formerly part of a band) who is now undead. The story is mostly action, fantasy, and adventure, not horror.
  • He fights other highly intelligent undead like himself.
  • He wants to reach and confess to his childhood crush, who is still alive and has become a famous singer. She shows up in posters and flashbacks.
  • He keeps a guitar or bass with him, and I remember a fight where he powered up.
  • A sword and/or a guitar may have been on the covers.
  • The title may have sounded something like "Dead Man Walking."
  • Not DC or Marvel

Any guesses, even partial ones, would help. Thanks!

I randomly ever few years try looking for it myself but I have yet to find anything, I am thankful for any help.

Solved [TOMT] [REDDIT POST] [TODAY OR YESTERDAY] A post about a man venting about his wife

Earlier today I was browsing and I found a post where the OP was a man complaining about his wife, who was trying to convince one of their children to not let go of their preferred uni to stay close to their SO, citing that she regretted quitting her dream of becoming a nurse in favor of marrying their father and starting their family.

The post consisted of black text over a pink background, spanning several images.

If you can only remember the subreddit so I can search it up I'd be grateful too.

Thanks!

Open [TOMT] [ANIMATED SHORT-FILM] [STOP-MOTION] Help me find creepy stop-motion short film I saw in 2010s!

• Upvotes

I remember watching a stop-motion animated short film at OMSI in the early 2010s as a kid. It features a creepy looking man and I distinctly remember an empty bed in a grass field. I think he tries to destroy the bed with an axe. Eventually at the end, he is crawling towards the bed with his dying steps, before finally dying just before reaching the bed. It's a like a cursed childhood bed, passing of time type of short film. I think it shows time passing and him aging until he's super old. There was some kind of instrumental in the back that was sad. The whole thing is super melancholy and strange and creepy. I really wanna find it for nostalgia sake! Please help!!!

Solved [TOMT] [YT VIDEO] [LIVE ACTION] A dark humor series about a black cat

I remember watching these videos a while ago, but I can’t remember the channel title. The videos were relatively short (less than 15 minutes) and were from the pov of a very pissed off black cat. The cat started of each video with “Dear Diary” and then complained about whatever problems he was dealing with. Its humor was akin to that of adult swim, definitely not for kids. I think most of the videos were made pre 2020.

Open. [TOMT] 90's-2000's Black Woman's R&B song

• Upvotes

I sadly have no lyrics or group name, but I'll try to narrow it down:

It reminded me a lot of "Candy Rain" by Soul 4 Real and "If It Isn't Love" by New Edition, in terms of the hook's construction and speed; like Candy Rain, the first word gets stretched out and the second word stays relatively short at the end. The pitch/key wasn't as high as Candy Rain and the speed was slightly slower (It wouldn't be considered a slow jam and it's more upbeat in tone).

SWV's "Anything" is what I remember the pitch being (basically identical), and Mary J. Blige's "You Don't Have To Worry" had a similar speed

I can't remember if it was by a solo singer or a group (although the hook sounded like a single voice with slight background vocals that deviate from the singer)

Solved [TOMT] Break up scene in a comedy movie

My partner and I were joking about a scene in what we think is a comedy where a man and woman are sitting on a bench/couch.

The woman is clearly beginning to start the break up conversation with the man but he interrupts her and says, “I break up with you!” So he can say he was the one who initiated the break up.

She then becomes frustrated with him and I believe they have an argument about it.

Does anyone remember what movie/show this is from? We’ve searched everywhere and can’t find it. Thank you in advance!

Open. [TOMT] [LIVE ACTION MOVIE] [1990s?] Movie about little girl helping ghost break curse

Looking for a movie about an (older man) ghost who lived in some sort of castle-like building, who was bound by some sort of curse. In the end, he is helped by a little girl (possibly with brown hair, but could be wrong) who moved into the house with her family. I don’t remember a lot of the film, but I believe the curse may have something to do with him being a coward in some way. I think I recall a scene with a riddle in an old library detailing his curse, but the most most memorable scene is towards the end when the little girl enters what I think is a church building with him with stained glass windows, then she holds his hand and tells him to be brave (or he tells her to be brave? not sure), and they enter some sort of unusual realm to finish freeing him from his curse, possibly to do with his worst fears. I think the other realm might have been colorful and there were eerie sounds, but don’t know for sure.

Please let me know if you can figure out what this is. It is not Child of Glass and I have already ruled out The 1985 version of Canterville Ghost. Thanks for your help.

Solved [TOMT] A show I watched with this recurring scene

I was at a friend's house meeting her new pet hamster and I got a flashback of either a show or movie with multiple scenes that have a hamster in it. I believe at some point a kid takes the hamster home from school or something, and then feels bad for it because it's being passed around to all the kids in the class. The kid then puts the hamster in its wheel and dumps all of its food into the wheel with it then sets it free. Throughout the show, the hamster occasionally appears in its wheel rolling down a street or something. It's not frequent, just every few episodes in between a scene you'll see the hamster as like a running joke I guess. It's killing me that I can't remember what show it was in

Solved [TOMT] Music video I vividly remember

I am trying to find a video I remember seeing on TV as a child. It would have been sometime around 1990, (give or take a few years each direction). What I can say with 100% certainty is that the video contained a montage of wildlife footage that included baby animals. The rest is a little fuzzy, so here are other details that I believe are true but I can’t say I’m 100% positive.

  1. I believe the baby animals were shown with their respective mothers.
  2. This was a music video, likely airing on MTV or VH1.
  3. For the longest time I thought the song was “Human” by The Human League. I still think it might have been but I can find no videos online with that song to match.
  4. The animal footage was meant to invoke feelings of warmth, love and compassion.

Now I know I could be misremembering some details but I 1000% know I saw something on TV because I vividly remember my Mom commenting on how cute all the baby animals were. This was pre-internet so seeing a bunch of cute wildlife baby animals was not nearly as common then and she really enjoyed it.

I’ve done quite a bit of searching over the years but can never seem to locate what I’m looking for. Does anyone else remember something like this or am I just going crazy?

Solved [TOMT] Creepy/eerie chime sound.

I’m trying to identify the origin of the sound effect used at the very beginning of a tiktok video about a painting. Have definitely heard this sound before but can't recall where but feel like it's from a movie. Link to the tiktok video is below. Sound is right the beginning before narration starts. The creator Doom Paints seems to use that chime at the beginning of all his videos.

Open [TOMT][2020s]Music album YouTube video inspired by the work of game development studio “Love-de-lic”

Hello, I am looking for a game album YouTube video inspired by the work of Japanese game development studio: love-de-lic, know for MOON: Remix RPG, and other games in the 90s.

It was framed as gameplay videos with the music playing, the style looked like MOON, the main character was a little critter with no arms, and I think there was a theme of rain and the daily passage of time impacting a small town, the overall video was 30 minutes to an hour or longer in length.

Any help in finding this would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Open [TOMT] Does anyone else remember this hypnotic, NFB-style French whispering short from 90s Sesame Park/CBC? (The child in red pajamas) NSFW

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to find anyone else who shares a very specific, unforgettable core memory from watching Canadian Sesame Street / Sesame Park on CBC in the 1990s.

I am positive this segment exists because the feeling it gave me as a kid was so intense and unique, but I’ve never been able to find footage of it online.

It was a short, animated insert—the art style looked exactly like old-school National Film Board (NFB) paper-cutout animation (very reminiscent of Evelyn Lambart's work).

The Visuals:
It featured a central character who was a young child wearing red pajamas. The child could have passed for either gender and had an Indigenous look to them. The imagery was incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and surreal—the kind of whimsical things a kid would actually dream about, like various animals.

The Sound:
What made it unforgettable was the audio track. The whole segment moved to a distinct, hypnotic bongo drumbeat. Over the top of the beat, a gentle, incredibly calming female voice was whispering in French, rhyming things together (likely an alphabet or animal reel).

Watching it felt like the earliest version of "accidental ASMR" or a pure wave of comfort. It had an atmospheric, hypnotic texture that completely spellbound me as a kid, and it left a huge emotional footprint on me.

Does anyone else remember this voice, the red pajamas, or the bongo tracking? I just want to know if anyone else out there carries this exact same childhood feeling!

Open [TOMT] YouTube Show/Animated Short I Watched

It was around 2017-2018 from what I remember it was about a teenage witch girl who had a little demon sidekick. it was only one episode I watched and in it they talked in their purple caravan home thing. The witch girl‘s magic was these little blue and pink shapes that floated around and she wore a big witch hat. I don’t remember the plot but I remember that at the big reveal at the end the demon guy’s dad was mentioned and he got really sad. The end credits had a red background with the demon boy sitting in the corner looking sad. Sorry if this isn’t really descriptive but it’s all I remember.
