They should be banned from the restaurant. People that do that are fucking assholes, but call them out and they play victim

Agreed. We saw on Reddit recently some posts from restaurants that have photo walls of all the people who ran out on their bill. Why not extend that wall to include people who meanly trick the servers with fake tips? You don't want them there either, so call them out, refuse to serve them.
