This made me think about something strangely human; perhaps unconsciously, we all put ourselves first. Give someone a new pen, and most of the time, they’ll write their own name first. Put them in danger, and their first instinct is to save themselves. It isn’t necessarily selfishness; it’s simply human nature.

But I wonder if real love changes that instinct.

Not the kind of love that exists only in words, captions, or Instagram stories. I mean the kind of love that quietly becomes a part of you, the kind that makes someone else’s happiness, safety, and existence matter to you almost as naturally as your own.

Maybe that is what love really does. It doesn’t necessarily make you stop loving yourself; it changes the order in which your heart thinks.

The hand that once instinctively wrote “me” begins writing “him.”

And perhaps the most beautiful thing about real love is not that you choose the other person every time.

It’s that, somewhere along the way, you stop noticing that you do.

Being curious about a person, wanting to know how their mind works, habits , what makes them feel loved, what makes them happy etc is how the love stays alive

Being curious abt them is making sure u Dont reduce them to who u think they are and instead seeing them for who they actually are, theor growth and growing with them.

This is actually quite rare these days Anf I don’t understand why nobody wantso to get to know other people on a deeper level . It creates intimacy and is the highest form of respect.

Hi everyone. I have a question.

So a month ago, I confessed my feelings to a girl that I work with (we are only 7 developers, it is a small company and we had hung out in the past before I confessed) (We are both 31) and she said that since she never had a boyfriend before, she needs a little time to process it properly as she values our friendship and does not want to make things awkward.

Now, here is the weird part, after the confession, we started meeting each other and hanging out, just us, once, sometimes, even twice a week. We have gotten even closer, to the point that if you saw us outside, you would assume that we are together.

Here is my question, I do not know where I stand with her, like should I tell her again that my feelings for her grew because they did. What is my play here?

She is teasing me a lot more to the point that almost every tease, I am ending up playfully touch her arm etc
