Not completely valid. She essentially says she dropped vague hints and never outright expressed her concerns. You know, like a mature adult should absolutely do.
Then after 2 decades suddenly finds a voice to deliver a condescending narrative in front of her daughter that tears down the dad?
It’s not her actual side of the story, or her words or actions though. Only his interpretation of what she said and did.
The perspective given is from a man who is being upfront that he has misunderstood and misinterpreted the actions of his wife in the past, and therefore, he is telling us that he isn’t a reliable narrator regarding what she says and does.
The irony is the point of the AI prompt. It presumes bias runs so deep that readers will still jump to assume that what he says is objectively true, and will still jump to assume that his interpretation reflects her point of view without giving any notice or consideration to the fact that he’s speaking for her, even in circumstances when he admits to the reader that he’s not a reliable narrator.
So you saw I promise and she said I heard that before. Which means he said he would do something and didn't? She sure wasn't silent when she expressed herself to her daughter. Seems like she can get a point across
That's kinda vague as well. We don't know what promises she's talking about.
It's also worth noting that all of this is through one perspective, if it's even real (probably not) and is a tiny snapshot of a life together and judging it by some random post on reddit isn't something either of us are really capable of doing.
If this was from her perspective it would probably sound a lot different.
Either way this is silly. I don't think her feelings are invalid, if she's real, but neither are his.
It's also worth noting that both of them are caught up in a societal system that defaults to exactly the type of family they made and that they are both trapped in that system to an extent. Not like impossibly trapped but it's just part of how society is.
Sitting here blaming either one of them for something like that seems silly.
There is nothing vague about it. We just don't know what promises were made and not kept. We know he didn't keep them when he said this time will be different and she says I heard that before. He doesn't keep his promises.
The tiny snapshot is so telling I could write a book about my analysis on the first read alone. Not to mention the discussion points that are taking place.
Her perspective would probably sound exactly like this conversation. I would put money that a woman wrote it
The fact that isn't real is irrelevant. It's doing what is for discussion and debate.

No way that's completely valid.
