Kudos to my mom, who saw the writing on the wall and ditched my abusive, arrogant, childish father, finished her degree, and established her independence and a career. Doing that was a sacrifice that was well worth it for herself and her two daughters. She was a strong woman. Here's to you, mom, I miss you every day.

That was always a choice, no one made her have children with that man

Sounds like the choice was always there to make if you accept the adult responsibility to make it.
