Hi everyone, I’m writing this with a heavy heart. A stray dog near my house recently passed away in a road accident leaving behind her young puppies. They are now orphans and very vulnerable. 2 Days ago I found a small pup(male) on the bus station. The pup is abandoned by someone because I know this area very well. I walk my dog daily and thus I know all the dogs in the area.

I brought the pup home because he was getting attacked by other dogs.

Hi everyone last week I found vanilla randomly on road (Delhi) scared lost on my street being attacked by 7 big dogs. Being a dog lover I couldn’t abandon her on road like that so I and my friend decided to bring her up to our society for a while so that we can feed her and make her strong. Later we realised she was a domesticated dog and was abandoned by someone on road and everything was traumatising her.

She now lives here with us in our pg discreetly and as students we are unable to look after her properly and since she is traumatised she can’t be left alone on road as the other dogs might attack or injure her.

I love her a lot and she is a lovely puppy but I am in a situation where I can’t provide her a shelter as this ain’t my hometown.

Chintu came to us with an injured leg, and it took about a month for his wound to heal completely. He was very scared of people initially, and it took him almost two months to become comfortable and start trusting us.

He eventually got adopted, but unfortunately, things didn't work out and we had to bring him back. We later found out that he had been kept chained in one spot for most of the day because his adopters couldn't manage him.

He's back with us now, and thankfully, he's doing much better. ❤️

Chintu is genuinely such a sweet and easy-going boy. He's calm, gentle and not aggressive. He's comfortable around people, cats, puppies and other dogs. He may take a little time to trust someone, but once he does, he's a lovely companion.

He deserves a home where his calm nature is appreciated and where he's treated like a member of the family.

Breed dog suffer lot. The often used only for breeding, kept in cage without proper care, when they stop producing or fall sick, many are abondend on the street to die.

They are treated like a machine to earn money, not as living beings who deserve love care & respect.

Yall I saw smth yesterday that really really broke my heart. I have an ailing dog at home that is my love and we are gonna lose him soon. Last night during an emergency, I checked online vets who can take a look at my dog immediately and found Petnest. After the appointment, i was just going through the app and found the Adopt a pet section and it broke my heart soooo bad. Like ive been wanting to cry. They buy pets and then any minor inconvenience, and they wanna get rid of them. I have literally seen reasons like “my daughter doesnt want it anymore” “too busy to take care.” And so many were senior pets, lived with them for 8-12 years and now looking to be surrendered.
Anyway, if anyone here is interested and actually will be able to give a good life to these doggos, do go through the Thepetnest app’s adoption section.

Edit: +1 to all the comments saying they’re better than people who just abandon their dogs on the streets. I do agree that these people are atleast trying to give their pets a better life by giving them away instead of dumping them or giving them a bad life. Im just astounded that people are able to give away their pets after keeping them for years for lameass reasons. The already aggressive and senior dogs would be terrified to start over.

There are puppies living in Kolkata (about 45days old) and they are in constant danger. Six puppies have already been run over by vehicles brutally. Sadly, this has happened before too.

There were around 15 puppies, and only 9 are left now. These tiny, helpless babies have nowhere to go and no way of protecting themselves from speeding vehicles.

What makes it even more heartbreaking is the inhumane, careless and completely unsympathetic attitude of a few people towards these animals. Their lives seem to mean so little to them, when all these puppies are doing is trying to survive.

We cannot keep waiting for another tragedy to happen.

You might have seen them posted before—maybe even from different accounts. That’s because I’m running out of options, and I’m asking for your help one more time.
I’m currently fostering Zozo and Ollie, two 2.5-month-old indie puppies, while trying to find them loving, permanent homes. I already have two resident dogs who unfortunately aren’t comfortable with puppies, so Zozo and Ollie have been staying on my terrace.
A terrace is not where puppies should grow up. At this age, they should be exploring the world, experiencing new sights, sounds and smells, meeting people, and learning the skills they’ll need for life. They’re safe, fed and loved every single day, but I cannot keep them there forever.
If I can’t find good homes for them within the next couple of weeks, I’ll have no choice but to slowly transition them back to the area where they were born. That is genuinely the last thing I want to do. The road they came from has busy traffic, ongoing construction, abandoned vehicles, and people who aren’t always kind to stray animals.

My friend recently stepped up to rescue a mother dog and her tiny baby from an abusive home where they were treated horribly. Both of them came to us with broken legs, and the poor mom was covered in painful cuts near her eye, ear, and limbs.

The mom (Coco) is around 1.5 years old, and her baby (Leo/Jerry) is barely 1.5 to 2 months old. Despite everything they’ve been through, their spirit isn't broken. They are incredibly trusting, playful, and full of life and energy. To see them still love humans after suffering so much cruelty is absolutely heartbreaking and inspiring.
