His name is Xiao Le (means little deer) and they think he is a German shepard mix. He was found as a stray and his age is unknown (Presumably 5-7yo, he came to the shelter in 2021 so hes lived there since he was a puppy).

As for temper, hes very relaxed but will snap at other dogs if they annoy him too much but never bites or attacks. He has a habit of standing between my legs but faces the opposite direction. He has a short coat that sheds a lot and hardly ever barks. I don't know how heavy he is but he is about the size of a German Shepard.

Any ideas whay breed he could be and what health conditions to watch out for with said breed?

Spencer truly is my little hero - he is my service dog for POTS. 

But then earlier this summer, he alerted no less than 10 times in less than an hour…but I wasn’t having a POTS episode??

Turns out I was HAVING A HEART ATTACK!! Because of his persistence I went to the ER and was life flighted to a major hospital nearby. 

Eventually I was referred to the Mayo clinic, where I was diagnosed with a rare genetic heart condition. I had successful cardiac surgery 6 days ago, though I will still need a heart transplant in 10-15 years. 

I shudder to think what could’ve happened if not for my tiny hero relentlessly alerting me until I went to the hospital.

He could be dead asleep, and everynight he jumps up ready to go outside the second he hears my Xbox turn off.

This dog is so smart he teaches himself things all the time.

I never have said the words "wanna go outside" while turning my Xbox off, it was always like a minute later once I got ready. But he has just put two and two together. Now I just turn the Xbox off and I dont have to say nothing 🤣 and its specifically at night. If I turn my Xbox off in the morning or during the day he doesnt do it but he knows at night once I turn the Xbox off its time to go out and get ready for bed.

I love this dog so much

Happy 1st Birthday to my Pebbles! This is the best picture I could take 🙄🙄 My little wild child by day and the sweetest bedtime snuggler by night. She keeps me on my toes, makes me laugh every single day, and then curls up next to me like the little angel she pretends to be.

Pebbles is a 7 pound Maltipoo. She is just a mess all the time and always looks disheveled no matter how much I brush her or how short I keep her hair.

My dog loves to sleep with his noses under pillows, legs, limbs, and pretty much anywhere warm or not structurally hard. To me I feel like it’s somewhere he can’t breathe but I know he can. It’s just odd to me and it’s only this dog that I’ve had that does it. Photo for reference. I know he can breathe but it’s still like. “Wanna make me anymore worried” if you don’t know. Dogs bury their nose for warmth and comfort!!

He just got a very nice bath at tractor supply yesterday, smelled great and today he decided to roll in a steaming pile of diarrhea.....

My boy, Geodee, turns 12 in a few weeks 😭 where has the time gone!?

This happens a couple times a week at least, and it usually starts the same way. My youngest dog (1 year old ACD mix) gets in his annoying moods and starts zooming around and barking at my 6 year old GS mix to play. I think my older one has fun "punishing" his little brother for rage baiting him. Those two start going back and forth barking and howling and my little one joins in (never once did this before I adopted those two), and now my foster puppy (on the couch). They all just keep howling until I stop them. This is the ONLY time any of them bark and howl like this. It cracks me TF up.

Both my black dogs grew up on a reservation in South Dakota (the older one for 5 years), maybe that's some part of it? Idk though! It's so funny and interesting and I've never had that happen with any dogs until these two.

I am O- negative....My GSD is DEA 1-negative! They are very similar. We both are considered universal blood type. However we both can only receive are own blood type.
