Blue Jays Lucky Guess: 2026 Season Wrap-Up

The Gamemaster’s note

Well, the season has finally come to a close. I am not sure when we will have Blue Jays baseball again (hopefully not too far into 2027), but it has been a pleasure. As always, thanks for bearing with my slow scoring and thanks even more for playing along this year! Hopefully we'll see you make even shittier picks next time around.

Now, on to the results of the 2026 Lucky Guess contest!

Total Points

This wasn’t really much of a surprise, since they’ve been leading for quite a while now…congrats /u/jrtera for destroying everyone else, with a whopping 2.75 PPG average! From third last year to first this year, well done!

Rounding out silver and gold are /u/icykool77 (2.62 PPG) and /u/breezehome (2.61 PPG), who each had a nearly 20 point improvement from their shitty guessing last year. Scoring that final question was actually not easy, especially since both of you doubled down. Giving either of you 2nd place would’ve changed the position ordering, so I made the executive decision to give everyone a free point on that one (and two for anyone who doubled down), and we are left with these standings.

The rest of our 400-point-club includes /u/general_veers83 (414 total points) and /u/canadian_61 (404 total points). Rounding out the top 10 of the leaderboard are /u/stroonzie, /u/_gumball_, /u/getbentbenny, /u/ukbluejay, and /u/classified_docs. But what happened to our dear friend /u/bullets_tml, you ask? I don’t know, they fell so far down the leaderboard that I can’t even find them! (kidding, it’s a 14th-place finish for you, somehow even worse than me)

Most Perfects

Shocker that getting the most perfects will apparently get you first place! So congrats, I guess?

Most Zeros

Due to unforeseen circumstances we aren’t giving this award out this year. Maybe next year.

Most Games

Four of you played all 162 games (/u/jrtera, /u/icykool77, /u/breezehome, and /u/stroonzie)! Honorable mention to many of you who played at least 100 games (/u/general_veers83, /u/canadian_61, /u/stroonzie, /u/_gumball_, /u/getbentbenny, /u/ukbluejay, /u/classified_docs, /u/inshallah13, /u/mrbrian87, /u/bullets_tml, /u/itsaracingsnail, /u/linusminimax , /u/4_base, and /u/missoctober12. /u/wil-bur you were almost there with 94, couldn’t you have done just two more series??)

/u/justsomenerdlmao, /u/traditionalair9659, /u/pucksputtsplants, and /u/ukleaf, the four of you only played a whopping ONE game this year. Maybe next year we’ll do a better job of keeping you interested.
